Pumpin' skippin' and Skiin'

There were a whole pile of first over the last couple weeks. About two weeks ago, on the way to the post office Sophia spontaneously started skipping. I recall trying to teach her last summer and it seemed pretty challenging. Not sure if they were practicing at school or if one of her friends did it thus encouraging her to try again. However it it happened, she's a full fledged skipper now. Nothing holding her back from entering kindergarten!

Next, we move on to the pumping. We were at a "strange" little birthday party last weekend and all there was to do was play on the child's swing set (well, that or run around with toy guns). So, Sophia hung out on the swing set and I left her for a while and went inside. She then came inside telling me she had something to show me. And there she was - started on her own and was pumping away! Yay me - no more pushing until the cows come home!

Lastly, Ethan, an avid skier, was very anxious to get the kids up on skis this year. Even thought there was not a flake in sight around here, he found some snow an hour and a half north and took both kids skiing last weekend! Saturday was Dylan's turn and Sunday was Sophia's. They both enjoyed it and want to go again.
