Mr. Pouty Lip

So, I have yet to capture Dylan's funny lip on camera as each time I bring it out his lip disappears and his whiny face appears as he cries for me to give him the camera. A shame, really, as his lip is so funny. It isn't really an upset look. Sometimes it is thinking (usually about mischievous deeds he could perform), other times it is about a faux grouchiness over a situation. I love it, though. He brings the bottom lip over the top lip, but it doesn't curl down as if he were frowning. Too cute.

So, Sophia's third day at school went well - I was so proud of her. She got off to a rocky start again. Woke in the morning, wouldn't eat breakfast when I mentioned it was a school day. She then said she wanted to go BACK to bed at 6, so I said sure. She went down from 6-7ish and when she heard D and I in his room, she called to me. When I went to get her she said "school now?" I thought - YAY! She wants to go! That moment passed rather quickly and she again refused food and didn't want to go. I got her to school and she started crying again and didn't want to stay. Rather she wanted ME TO STAY. I left and was sad to go again. I went to get her at noon and I think she was onto me and chose a seat with a view of the window in the door. She spotted me right away and said "Mommy's here!" I went to get her and she was in a very good mood. The teacher (she has a different on on Fridays and I quite liked this one) said Sophia did very well. There were two more new kids and Sophia went up to them and said "nice to meet you" and took their hand and showed them around. SO SWEET! If only I could be a fly on the wall... or even that nasty GIANT spider they have on the outside of their window. I swear that thing is the size of my thumb up to the first knuckle. Sophia's first craft project there, incidental was making a spider web on black craft paper with glue and cotton balls.
